"Vibrant Visions" November group show & Amy Lewis solo show!

Greetings artists and friends of the gallery!

November Online Group Art Show "Vibrant Visions" is here!

As November is one of the darkest months of the year, we have created a group show showcasing artworks from 73 artists who dare to dream in color. For many artists, color is one of the most important elements of their art practice and this group show celebrates their unique interpretations of color and vibrant subject matters.

Solo Show by Amy Lewis

We are happy to announce that Amy Lewis, our Solo Show winner from "The Sweet Life" premiers her show today, and the show runs from November 1 to 30th.

You can view the show on our Website and in our Virtual Gallery.

Amy Lewis is a self-taught artist from Washington state. Her watercolor and oil paintings are vivid lifelike snapshots of ordinary life glamorized. Amy, inspired by fashion editorials and historic paintings of aristocracy, pairs everyday objects with rich backgrounds. The juxtaposition of the ordinary and the luxurious sparks an appreciation for the things we take for granted. She paints to cultivate joy and an appreciation for the beauty that is all around us.

“My work is a practice of gratitude. It is the cultivation of joy and an appreciation for the beauty that is all around us. I’m constantly exploring ways to portray ordinary life as glamorous. Everyday objects with luxurious backgrounds create a juxtaposition that sparks an appreciation for the things we take for granted. In the beauty of the ordinary, I am reminded to be grateful and to use my privileges for the good of others. Fashion editorials and historic paintings of aristocracy are rich sources of inspiration. I work in watercolor and oil paints. For watercolors and oil paintings, alike, I paint roughly 3-4 layers. Many layers mean that the resulting painting has a smooth finish and vivid complex colors. Depending on the size, medium, and complexity of a piece they can take 1-2 days or 1-2 months. Most recently I am proud of being featured in Gita Joshi's Art Seen Magazine and throwing my own group art exhibition in Seattle, WA."

Elevate Your Artist Bio & Statement With

HMVC’s Gold Standard

We are very happy to announce that we have implemented a new service called "Artist's Writing Aid."

We are well aware of how artists struggle with writing Artist Bios and Statements because we review them every month. Many artists do not realize that their Artist Bio and Statement are a gateway to the art world and unfortunately many end up missing out on good opportunities because of poor writing.

So why not let us help you tell your story in a way that resonates, captivates, and elevates your artistic identity.

With our "Artist's Writing Aid", we provide you with a white glove mentor service by:

★ Uncover Your Unique Voice: We’ll conduct interviews and research to understand your artistic journey, inspirations, and aspirations.

★ Craft a Compelling Narrative: We will transform your experiences and thoughts into engaging narratives that captivate your audience.

★ Tailor for Your Audience: We consider your target audience—whether it’s galleries, collectors, or the general public—ensuring your artist bio and statement resonate with them.

★ Edit and Refine: We provide multiple rounds of revisions to ensure your bio and statement are perfect in every way.

Together, we’ll take your artistry to new heights!

HMVC Gallery New York is now offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month. Because the artists in our community are at various stages in their careers, we have created three different plans for you to choose from Plan Manor, Plan Palace, and Plan Castle.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in doing a Solo Show with us.

Visit our ongoing Virtual Solo Shows.

This service is by request only so if you would like to know more you can contact us via the contact form or email us at [email protected]

Kind Regards,

HMVC Gallery New York
