Zixiong Jin

We are happy to tell you that Zixiong Jin, our 1st Solo Show winner from "2022", premiers his show tomorrow and the show runs between January 2 - 16th. You can view his work on our website: Solo Show and in our Virtual Gallery.

★ Zixiong Jin a New York-based left five years of business study to pursue a career in photography and filmmaking. He takes a comprehensive approach to his practice that he finds more fulfilling artistically, working in a range of genres that includes landscape, portraiture, and still life, and is experienced in such technical fields as aerial and architectural photography. His photographs have garnered him numerous international awards, with particular recognition given to his astrophotography.

Here are a few words from Zixiong: "In 2020, I decided to spend over a year staying away from the city and camping in the desert in western Texas. I used various equipment, including a telescope and a monochrome camera, to capture color and luminance in the universe. I never want viewers to forget, though, that the photographs capture the universe as it was billions of light years ago—an eternity that inspires awe humbles us with our own insignificance, and puts our human troubles in perspective."

You can enjoy more of Zixiong art here:

Congratulations Zixiong and please enjoy his show!

Since its invention, the color Pink has most often been associated with youth, sweetness, and femininity.

We can find various shades of Pink in nature from animals to stones to the sky.

Pink makes regular appearances in fashion, as seen in Jackie Kennedy’s well-known Pink suit and Lady Gaga’s Pink Met Gala ensemble.

If you drink too much alcohol you might find yourself hallucinating Pink elephants.

Then there is the “Pink Tax,” which increases the price of everyday items that are sold in Pink over identical items sold in other colors.

Although only 2% of people say pink is their favorite color, our Co-Founder adores it.

In our February Group Art Show, we want to see artworks made primarily of the color Pink.

To be considered for the group show artists must provide the jurors with high-quality images of their artwork as befitting the theme, an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement.

★ Digital entries must be received by January 26th, 2023 before 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.

★ Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by January 31st.

★ The show will premiere on February 1st and end on February 28th.

As our community grows, we have received multiple requests for Solo opportunities. You asked and we listened, so now HMVC Gallery New York is offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month. Because the artists in our community are at various stages in their careers, we have created three different plans for you to choose from Plan Manor, Plan Palace, and Plan Castle.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in doing a Solo Show with us.
